When you have completed pre-registration if you need to amend the scorecard you can select “Menu” (for Android three dots top right corner).
Following is a screenshot of scorecard menu options:
- View Scorecard: This takes to the completed scorecard (note: you can only see this when you have confirmed the 9 or 18 holes)
- Turn on side match: This is where you can switch over to a side match if are playing a mini-match between yourselves (NB: This will STILL be added to your Handicap Index®)
- Round Setup: This gives you the option of going back and removing/adding a playing partner (or also turning a side match on/off)
- Message of the Day: This option is currently unavailable
- Local Rules: this detail is recorded by each club and matches any specific local rules (during winter months) and those that are publicised and written on a scorecard .
- Exit Scorecard: Takes you back to the opening “enter score” page
Additional Notes:
Geo-location technology will ensure pre-registering the intent to post a score (create scorecard) can only be done in close proximity to the course where the round will take place (scorecard submission can however be completed elsewhere).
A time lag will be in operation from the point where intent to play a round is registered to the stage when a score can be accepted.
A Golfer's final score must be verified by a playing partner who has witnessed the round and who holds a World Handicap System™ handicap index.
Scorecard will remain as an ‘Active Scorecard’ on your ‘Enter score’ area until it is submitted, when it will move to your ‘Scorecard history’ area.
Any verified score will be added to your record immediately and calculated into your handicap index overnight.
If entering a score on the MyEG app, you must only submit your card via the MyEG app. If you submit a card via both the MyEG app and your club you will get a duplicate score in your record. If you register to the MyEG app but only submit to the club you will have a query against your account for incomplete score (your club will need to rectify).
Scores can be entered either hole by hole or entered in full after the round. Submit full scores for attestation/marking at the end of the round.
Each individual player is responsible for and needs to register their own scorecard either via their MyEG app or via the home club for their score to be registered against their playing history (for iGolf it must be completed through MyEG app and both players need to use it). If a playing partner is assigned via the MyEG app it is not for submission of the playing partners’ scorecard but only for monitoring playing partners’ scores. Adding a playing partner makes finding the marker at the end easier, as playing partners appear first. However, it is not necessary to add a playing partner at all via the MyEG app scorecard (only the score marker is the required element to verify the app scorecard).
Juniors can add markers via the MyEG app: juniors are able to sign cards for adults and adults can sign cards for juniors (Please note: juniors are unable to use the ‘Friends’ function – 14 years and younger).
You can record a pick up by clicking the 3 dots next to the score and click pick up.
Existing app users should have the new function installed automatically. If the score entry function is not immediately apparent on the dashboard screen, then users should check/refresh updates on their device to ensure the latest version of the ‘My EG’ app is installed.
Golfers can pre-register and post scores from general play rounds at any rated/affiliated course in England via the MyEG app.
This function is available to all members of affiliated golf clubs in England who hold a World Handicap System index.
Any problems with missing scores and they will need to be returned to the home club for them to manually enter.
